Itinerary
Day 1SINGAPORE - ISTANBUL
Welcome to a unique experience! Assemble at Singapore Changi Airport for your flight to enchanting Turkey, steep in history as the cradle of many civilizations and the center of the Byzantine and Ottoman Empires.

# Groups departing on EMIRATES (EK) will arrive Istanbul in the evening, have dinner and check in hotel for the night.

Day 2ISTANBUL - CANAKKALE
Upon arrival, begin your city tour, visiting various landmarks of Istanbul – Hippodrome, the center of chariot races during the Byzantine period; Sultan Ahmet Mosque (Blue Mosque), one of the largest religious complexes in Istanbul; Hagia Sophia (St. Sophia Church Museum) - considered the symbol of the Byzantine period, probably the biggest building at time of its construction and an architectural marvels of all time. After lunch, sit back for a scenic drive across the Dardanelles and arrive at Canakkale for dinner and the night.

Day 3CANAKKALE - TROY - PERGAMON - KUSADASI
In the morning, visit the ruins of ancient Troy and the famous Trojan Horse then drive southward to the ancient city of Pergamon. Founded in 284 BC., the ancient city of Pergamon prospered rapidly during the Hellenistic period and became the cultural and political center of Anatolia. Some of the sightseeing places include the Acropolis - purged on the highest part of the city, the Altar of Zeus, Temple of Athena, the Library, Theater, Arsenals and the Temple of Trojan. After lunch, depart for Kusadasi, a lovely resort town at the coast of Aegean Sea.

Day 4KUSADASI - SELCUK - PAMUKKALE
After breakfast, short drive to the town of Selcuk and visit Ephesus, probably one of largest and most outstanding archeological site in existence. Some outstanding structures include the Library of Celsus, The Grand Theater, Hadrian Temple, Marble Street, the Agora etc. Next, visit House of Virgin Mary - according to legend, Virgin Mary and St. John came to Ephesus and died here. Situated on the hill of Mt. Solmissus, this little chapel is believed to be where Virgin Mary lived and died. After lunch, continue to Pamukkale, another major attraction of Turkey.

Day 5PAMUKKALE - KONYA - CAPPADOCIA
Today’s visit includes the extensive ruins of Hierapolis - an ancient Roman city well known for its thermal baths and health center, and the unique Cotton Castle, a natural spectacular formation of limestone deposits in the shape of cascading terraces and pools. Continue to Konya, the famous old capital city of the Seljuk Turks. Visit the 13th century Mausoleum of Mevlana with its mosque, dance hall, dervish living quarters, school and tombs of some leaders of the Mevlevi Order. After that, make a stop at Horozluhan where you will enjoy a typical Konya style Turkish lunch in an exotic setting of a restored ancient ca ravanserai. After lunch, continue to Cappadocia where you will find one of the world’s most beautiful landscapes. (Possible optional tour: Sunrise Hot Air Balloon)

Day 6CAPPADOCIA
A visit to Cappadocia is said to be the highlight of any tour to Turkey. The unique landscape of Cappadocia evolved from erosion of the ash sedimentation by wind, sun, rain and snow, sculpting the land into countless strangely shaped pillars and cones, know as “fairy chimneys”. Enjoy your tour through the many valleys and conical cliffs, which are fantastic spots for snapshots. Visit one of many mysterious underground cities which existed since the Hittite period and later, enlarged during the Arabs attacks in the 7th century. Visitors can still see bedrooms, lavatories, kitchens, dining halls, storage rooms, wine cellars, chapels, stables etc. Next, visit the Goreme Open-air Museum - the compound comprises some 29 rocks cut churches, some as old as 6th century with beautiful frescoes depicting the Bible. Uchisar is an old village consisting small dwellings carved into huge rock, if time permits, you may visit one of the cave house and experience the life in here. Next, visit Avanos, a small town famous in pottery and carpets. You will visit one of the factories and learn the art of pottery making and carpet weaving. Purchases are also possible. After dinner, enjoy a relaxing evening in the underground restaurant for an exotic night of belly dancing and folklore entertainment.

Day 7CAPPADOCIA - ANKARA - BOLU
Depart for Ankara, the capital of Turkey. Visit Ataturk Mausoleum - the final resting place of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk - “father of modern Turkey”. The architecture of the mausoleum is a mix of different styles that represents the various Anatolian civilizations. Continue to Bolu, a serene and green region of Turkey.

Day 8BOLU - ISTANBUL
After breakfast, return to Istanbul to visit the Topkapi Palace, one of the best examples of the Ottoman architecture. It was the seat of the Ottoman Empire after it shifted its capital from Bursa to Istanbul. There after, it’s shopping time at the 500 years old Grand Bazaar - a maze of more than 4000 stalls and shops selling local products such as leather apparels, jewelry, souvenirs, handicrafts, pottery and ceramic wares, Turkish coffee and apple tea etc. (Possible optional: Bosphorus Cruise, Dolmabache Palace, Spice Bazaar, Underground Water Cistern etc)

Day 9ISTANBUL SINGAPORE
The morning is free at leisure till time for your transfer to the airport for departure.
