Itinerary
| Day 1 | SINGAPORE - PARIS | Welcome to a unique experience! Assemble at Changi Airport for our flight to Paris, the capital of France.
| | Day 2 | PARIS – BEAUNE – LYON | Depart Charles de Gaulle Airport and head south to the medieval town of Beaune, the capital of Burgundy Region. Embark on a walking tour through this charming town with its historical mansions, medieval half-timbered houses & flowered squares. Do not miss the Hotel Dieu that still bears witness to the past when the power of the Duke of Burgundy stretched from Flanders to the Netherlands. Continue to the third largest city of France, Lyon. (Dinner)
| | Day 3 | LYON – NICE | Begin our guided tour at Fourviere Hill, the heart of Lyon’s UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit the Notre-Dame de Fourviere Basilica before proceeding to Vieux Lyon (Old Lyon). See the famous Traboules, covered walkways linking entire blocks of houses. Cross the Soane River to Place Bellecour where the equestrian statue of Louis XVI takes centre stage. Continue to the relaxed atmosphere of Nice, the ‘Queen of the Riviera’. Drive down the Promenade des Anglais, passing the Place Massena with its fountain to the Old Town. (Breakfast / Dinner)
| | Day 4 | NICE: EZE – MONTE CARLO | Enjoy breathtaking views from the cliffs as we drive to Eze Village. Visit a perfumery to discover all the secrets of perfume making. Continue to the capital of the Principality of Monaco, Monte Carlo built on the rocks 200ft above sea level. Walk in the narrow streets of the Old Town and view the Royal Palace. Drive on the Monte Carlo race track as we make our way to the famous Casino & Café Paris surrounded by beautiful gardens. (Breakfast)
| | Day 5 | NICE – CANNES – CASSIS - MARSEILLE | ravel to glamorous Cannes on the magnificent Cote d’Azur where we see the Film Festival Centre on the Boulevard de la Croisette. Drive along the Mediterranean coast to the small fishing port of Cassis, nestled between two exceptional natural sites, the majestic Cap Canaille and the famous massif of the Calanques. Board a cruise to admire this harmony of magnificent white cliffs whose sharp peaks and colossal fortresses strive towards heaven. Continue by coach along the coastal road to the Gineste Hills, a landscape of limestone cliffs, to Vieux Port of Marseille. Enjoy a tour of France’s second largest but oldest city. Discover the treasures of a unique heritage, rich cultural life and a magnificent natural location between the hills and the sea. Stroll in La Panier, the old town before proceeding to the Notre Dame de la Garde which overlooks the city. For dinner, discover its culinary delights through its traditional recipe of ‘bouillabaisse’. (Breakfast/Dinner)
| | Day 6 | MARSEILLE – NIMES – CARCASSONNE | From Marseille, drive along the highway through countryside dotted with orchards, cypresses and vineyards to Nimes. Admire the stunning view of the city atop the Magne Tower before walking to the city centre through Les Jardins de la Fontaine. Travel back in time as we visit the impressive Nimes Arena, the best preserved amphitheatre of the Roman era with the gladiators’ section which enables us to relive the Roman games of ancient times. Enjoy a 3D film brimming with emotion and action at the Maison Carree, the only completely preserved Roman temple in the world. Continue our journey past the Alaric’s Mountain to Europe’s largest and most complete fortress, Carcassonne. Discover its history with our local guide as we tour the ramparts and the narrow streets of this UNESCO World Heritage site. (Breakfast / Dinner)
| | Day 7 | CARCASSONNE - LOURDES | Wind our way through ‘Cathar’ landscapes towards the Pyrenees Mountains in southwestern France to Lourdes, one of the most important pilgrimage sites in the world. Visit the Sanctuary & the Basilica of St Pius X, the world’s largest underground church. Drink from the spring that Virgin Mary directed Bernadette to locate at the base of the Grotto and which has flowed uninterrupted since 1858. (Accommodation may be located outside of Lourdes during religious holidays and celebrations). (Breakfast / Dinner)
| | Day 8 | LOURDES – BORDEAUX | Drive leisurely to visit classical Bordeaux. Enjoy a guided walking tour of the city to discover its rich architectures which has been listed as UNESCO World Heritage Site. Admire the magnificent Esplanade des Quinconces and the banks of the Gironde before exploring the Old Quarter. (Breakfast / Dinner)
| | Day 9 | BORDEAUX – TOURS | Venture into one of the world’s best wine regions, St Emilion. Admire the ancient architecture and explore winding streets before our visit to a vineyard to sample some of the exquisite wines produced in this region. After lunch, take a scenic drive through the Dordogne Valley and Limoges, renowned for delicate porcelain before arriving in Tours, Loire Valley to see some of the most spectacular castles steeped in the history of noblemen and kings since the 11th century. (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)
| | Day 10 | TOURS | Visit the largest of the Loire castles, the Chateau de Chambord created by King Francois I on the inspiration of Leonardo Da Vinci. Continue with the ‘perfect’ Chateau de Chenonceau, set in the harmony of River Cher, forests and gardens. This castle owes its world famous and unique elegance to women with exceptional destinies, its architecture and gardens incorporated with sophisticated touches of female inspiration everywhere you look. (Breakfast / Lunch)
| | Day 11 | TOURS – MONT ST MICHEL – NORMANDY REGION | Journey into Normandy to visit Mont St Michel, which remains one of the greatest sightseeing attractions in Europe and the second most visited place in France after the Eiffel Tower. This island is best known as the site of the spectacular and well-preserved Norman Benedictine Abbey of St Michel at the peak of the rocky island, surrounded by the winding streets and convoluted architecture of the medieval town. (Breakfast, Dinner)
| | Day 12 | NORMANDY REGION – DEAUVILLE – ETRETAT – paris | Join the rich and famous in the exclusive coastal resort of Deauville. Stroll along the Promenades des Planches, a 500m boardwalk along the sandy beach lined by small cabins named after American film stars. Admire the typical Normandy architecture of the Casino Barriere located right next to the beach. Cross the Pont de Normandie – one of the world’s longest cable-stayed bridge and head for Etretat. Walk along the cliff tops to view the fabulous white cliffs with natural giant archways that reach out into the sea. Return to Paris in the late afternoon. (Breakfast)
| | Day 13 | PARIS | Upon arrival, join our guide for a tour of this famous city. Drive down the Champs Elysees to Place de la Concorde, the largest public square in Paris which at the gate of the Tuileries Gardens. Make a photo stop at the Arc de Triomphe, a testament to Napoleon’s victories and The Invalids, his final resting place. Drive past the ornate Garnier Opera House and admire the glass pyramid which serves as the entrance to the Louvre Museum. Ascend to the 2nd level of the famous Eiffel Tower, built for the exhibition of 1889, for panoramic views of Paris. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure. (Breakfast / Lunch)
