Start our orientation tour of Zurich at the Old Town. Make a stop at the Fraumunster, famous for its stained glass windows by Marc Chagall. Across the Limmet River is the Grossmunster, the starting point of the Swiss-German Reformation. Drive past the Hauptbahnhof, the main train station, and Bahnhofstrasse, the main shopping areas in Zurich. Visit Schoggi Land – Maestrani Chocolate Factory to learn all about chocolate making. Taste freshly made chocolates and bring some home at factory prices! Enjoy a short leisurely drive to Rapperswil, the city of roses nestled on the shore of Lake Zurich. Stroll along the lake promenade into the medieval old town, a protected historic monument. Follow medieval alleys to the Capuchin Monastery with its own rose garden before ascending the steps to the Schlossberg Castle for a panoramic view from the Glarus Alps to the Zurich Oberland. If time permits, walk across the longest wooden bridge in Switzerland. Drive through the scenic countryside to Lucerne, one of Switzerland’s most beautiful cities. Our walking tour starts at the wooden 14th-century Chapel Bridge. Make a photo stop at the Lion Monument, dedicated to Swiss guards who died during the French Revolution. Visit Bucherer, Switzerland’s leading watch & gemstone retailer to marvel at the Aion, the world’s largest indoor rolling ball clock and of course, purchase an authentic Swiss souvenir.
