Spend the rest of the day at the Seattle Premium Outlet.
Drive to Olympic National Park which sprawls across three distinct ecosystems, glaciated mountains, rugged Pacific coastline and lush temperate forests. It is home to such stunning, unique landscapes that it has been designated a World Heritage Site.
Enjoy stories and legends of the Quinault nation who have lived in the Pacific Northwest for generations.
Stroll subalpine meadows at Hurricane Ridge while admiring the peaks and glaciers in the distance. Stop by Lake Crescent, known for its brilliant blue waters and exceptional clarity caused by a lack of nitrogen in the water which inhibits the growth of algae.
This morning, visit Mount St Helens, an active stratovolcano. The eruption in 1980 was so colossal that it spewed ash into 11 states. The Mount St Helens Visitor Center acts as a gateway to this Ring-of-Fire volcano and provides interactive exhibits of the event and a working seismograph.
Continue to Portland, Oregon’s largest city in the shadow of snow-capped Mount Hood.
Depart Portland for the Columbia River Gorge. Admire the stunning beauty of the meandering Columbia River as we come around the bend at Crown Point and see the famous Vista House.
The Vista House was built in 1916 at the same time as the Historic Columbia River Gorge Highway and designed to be a place for refreshment and enjoyment of the Columbia Gorge.
Journey to the two-tiered Mulnomah Falls, USA’s second highest for a photo.
Drive through Oregon’s green and golden wine country, the Willamette Valley to enjoy a taste of wine produced here.
Continue to Newport, a city on Oregon’s central coast.
Stop at the Yaquina Head Lighthouse, the most visited lighthouses in the West Coast and the tallest in Oregon. We will find interesting and photo worthy basalt rock features as well as a newly formed sea arch in a sandstone cliff.
Enjoy sweeping coastal views as we drive toward Heceta head to see its beautiful 19th century lighthouse.
Buckle up for an exhilarating drive through the shifting sands of the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area.
In the afternoon, enjoy some free time to explore Newport at leisure.
Drive back to Seattle.
Seattle city tour: Enjoy a visit to the iconic Seattle Space Needle, the most enduring legacy of the 1962 World Fair. Nature meets culture at the Olympic Sculpture Park. More than 20 pieces of art are scattered along sloping gravel paths that zigzag over railroad tracks and down to the shores of Elliott Bay.
Enjoy a morning visit to the Pike Place Market located between high rises and the waters of Puget Sound. Rub the snout of Rachel the bronze market pig for luck and enjoy the rambling assortment of salmon-tossing fishmongers, produce venders and flower stalls
Drive through the campus of Amazon, the city’s largest private employer. The buildings are sustainable, energy-efficient and the public plazas and pockets of open green space are welcoming.
Spend the afternoon exploring or shopping.
Coffee lovers may want to visit Starbucks Reserve Roastery and Tasting Room. Dubbed the ‘Willy Wonka factory of coffee’, this is where all of the rare coffees are roasted and packaged before being shipped worldwide. Speak with a Starbucks master roaster or shop one-of-a-kind merchandise.
