Welcome to a unique experience! Assemble at Changi Airport for our flight to Minsk, the capital of Belarus for a fascinating glimpse into the socialist past.   

 

  • On arrival, clear immigration formalities before driving to the hotel for a rest.

  • Minsk city tour: learn about the long and rich history of the city.  Visit the capital’s oldest street, Nemiga and the picturesque Upper Town.  Visit Independence Square, the main administrative and the city’s largest square.
  • See the architectural monuments of the 17th to 20th centuries, the Upper Town with the City Hall and the old streets of Trinity Suburb.  Continue to the Afghanistan War Monument on the Isle of Tears which commemorates soldiers who perished during the war in the 1980s.  See the National Library, cited as one of the world’s most remarkable buildings.
  • Continue to Zhodino famous for its huge automobile factory BelAZ, a manufacturer of heavy-duty mining trucks used all over the world.

  • Visit one of Belarus’s greatest treasures, Mir Castle (UNESCO World Heritage Site).  It is an exceptional example of Central European fortification and reflects different architectural styles.
  • Next, travel to Nesvizh for a visit of the 14th century palace and park of the famous Radzivil family.  Not to be missed is the Church of Corpus Christi, the oldest baroque building in Eastern Europe.

  • In the morning, visit the Museum of Great Patriotic War which occupies more than 3000 square metres.  The imposing building houses more than 8000 artifacts from World War II.  Here, we see how the world had shaped the Belarusians and their country.
  • In the afternoon, board a flight to Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania.

  • Vilnius city tour: Enjoy a guided tour of bustling Vilnius, one of Europe’s oldest and most charming old towns.  Admire the splendid examples of Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque architectures.  Visit the Cathedral, Gediminas Avenue, the Parliament and the President’s Palace.
  • In the afternoon, visit Trakai Castle and museum.  The 14th century red brick castle sits on an island in the middle of the lake and is best known for its defensive architecture.

  • Make a stop at one of Lithuania’s most awe-inspiring sighs - the Hill of Crosses, Planted here since 19 century and bulldozed by the Soviets but each night, people crept past soldiers and barbed wire to plant more.
  • Stand upon a small hill where many hundreds of thousands of crosses represent Christian devotions and memorial to Lithuanian national identity.
  • Drive to Rundale Palace, a true treasury of Baroque and Rococo art.  Built as a grand residence for the Duke of Courland, this magnificent palace and its French garden is a monument to 18th century aristocratic ostentatiousness and rural Latvia’s architectural highlight.
  • Continue to Riga, the capital of Latvia.

  • Riga guided tour: See St Peter’s Cathedral, Riga castle (outside view), the Cathedral which boats one of the world’s largest pipe organs and the old Guild houses.  Riga boasts Europe’s greatest concentration of Jugendstil (German Art Nouveau) buildings.
  • Visit Black Magic Café to taste the famous Riga Black Balsam and a journey into the past.
  • In the afternoon, travel to Jurmala, the largest resort town in the Baltics.  Look forward to 19th century wooden architectures and romantic streets.
  • At the Jurmala Open Air Museum, learn how to repair and tie fishing nets or simply watch a net maker in action.  Enjoy a tasting of fishermen’s delicacies before returning to Riga.

  • Travel to Sigulda, the city with Latvia’s most beautiful landscapes popular with locals and tourist alike.
  • Visit the Turaida Museum Reserve, the historical centre which comprises archaeological, historical and art monuments since the 11th century.
  • Visit a ceramic workshop to see the masters in action and create our own masterpiece as well.
  • Travel the Estonia’s best known resort, Parnu.  Enjoy the charms of the 19th century harbour city during our visit.
  • Proceed to Tallinn, the capital of Estonia.

  • Tallinn walking tour: Visit the old town from the middle age with its quaint narrow streets and beautiful merchant houses exemplifying the best of Gothic architecture.  View the Toompea Castle, the 13th century church, the 19th C Russian orthodox Cathedral, the Town Hall Square and the old Guild built to celebrate Tallinn’s admittance to the Hanseatic League.
  • Enjoy some free time in the afternoon to explore the old town of Tallinn.

  • Enjoy some free time at leisure before we bid farewell to the Baltic States and transfer to the airport for our flight back to Singapore.
