from Singapore to Reykjavik via London without a city tour and arrive Reykjavik on day 2.)
Meet our local guide for a city tour after leaving the airport.
Copenhagen guided tour: Our sightseeing tour features the Old Stock Exchange, the National Museum and the Rosenborg, Amalienborg & Christianborg Palaces. Make a photo stop at the famous Little Mermaid Statue & Hans Christian Andersen Statue before we proceed to Nyhavn, the old sailors’ quarters converted into colourful cafes, bars & jazz clubs.
Return to the airport for our flight to Reykjavik, the hip capital of Iceland.
(Note: Group on British Airways will fly from Singapore to Reykjavik via London/Helsinki without a city tour.)
Visit Iceland’s biggest attraction on our ‘Golden Circle’ Tour.
Proceed to the Thingvellir National Park, where the North Atlantic Rift which separates the North American and European continents, can be prominently viewed inside the Almannagja Ravine. This is also where the world’s oldest functioning legislative body, the Icelandic Parliament was established.
Drive to the geothermal Great Geysers Area with its many hot springs, mud pools and geysers. Witness the spouting of the Strokkur, the world’s most active geyser which erupts roughly every eight minutes.
Continue to the stunning two-tiered Gullfoss waterfall. This great white glacial cascades 32m into a 70m deep canyon and is generally considered one of the most beautiful on the island.
Drive along the south shore to Vik, the southernmost village in Iceland. Admire the icebound Seljalandsfoss and Skogarfoss waterfalls in Skogar.
Continue to the black sand beach of Reynisfjara where we will see pillars of basalt rock stacks raising from the sea.
View the 120m headland of Dyrholaey which ends in an unusual archway.
Continue to the stunning Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon for an amazing cruise amongst floating icebergs. Be rewarded with magnificent views of the mighty Vatnajokull Glacier throughout the day.
Drive from Hofn through Almannaskaro Pass. Admire the majestic coastline with towering mountains plunging into the sea from the East Fjords.
Drive Head to Lake Myvatn area famous for being home to the world’s most diverse species of ducks and birdlife and extraordinary volcanic lava landscapes.
Visit Namaskaro Pass with its boiling mud pools and vibrant colours.
Continue to Dimmuborgir with its myriad forms, small caves and towering volcanic rock.
Visit Godafoss, one of the most spectacular waterfalls in Iceland.
Travel towards the bustling northern port, Akureyri to admire some of the finest timber buildings in the country.
Continue to Skagafjordur, one of Iceland’s most prosperous agricultural region and known especially for horse.
Get acquainted with the gentle Icelandic horse.
Visit Glaumbaer Farm. The old turf farmhouse is a great example of rural life in 18th – 19th century Iceland.
Make a stop at Blanda River, one of Iceland’s longest , where we may see salmons ascending the numerous chutes and rapids (June - early September only)
Embark on an exclusive, once in a lifetime adventure to the Ice Tunnel in Langjokull, Europe’s second largest glacier. Board the monster truck for a drive to the ice cap and the entrance of the tunnel. Explore the tunnel, crevasses, moulins and learn about the evolution of glaciers.
View the Hraunfossar, a series of waterfalls formed by rivulets steaming over a distance of about 900 meters out of a lava field.
Admire Reykjavik’s renowned charm and bustling life. Enjoy a walking tour which highlights main landmarks such as The Pearl and Hallgrimskirkja.
Relax in the warm, natural active mineral waters of the Blue Lagoon. The geothermal seawater is directed from wells as deep as 2000 meters (towel provided, please bring swimwear).
Enjoy some free time at leisure before our flight back to Copenhagen. (Note: Group on British Airways will fly home via London without overnight stay in Copenhagen and will arrive in Singapore on day 10)
Suggested optional tour: Board a whale watching boat in Reykjavik and head out on an adventure to see the numerous whales of Faxafloi Bay. Keep your eyes open for harbor porpoises, white-beaked dolphins, minke whales and humpback whales (flight time permitting).
Bid farewell to Scandinavia as we transfer to the airport for our flight back to Singapore.
